Wrist grabs are one of the most common attacks. To break free, simply pull your wrist toward the attacker’s thumb, the weakest part of their grip, while stepping back to create distance. 3. Blocking and Parrying Strikes

Blocking or redirecting a strike helps you prevent injury and creates the opportunity to counterattack or escape. 6. Escaping Chokeholds

Make sure at all times you are standing with your feet splayed (to create a stable base, so you don’t fall over in either direction).
